Love Craft brew? So do we, but we love to make it even more than drinking it (well maybe). Beginner, amateur, novice or thinking of going pro, you are welcome in our homebrew club. We're going to learn about brewing beer, different styles, gadgets, how to taste beer and submit your beer for competition. What we are not, is a social drinking club. We stress education and responsible drinking. You don't have to brew beer to join the club, but once you do, you'll be hooked (so be forewarned). This …
This is a great chance for all beer lovers, home brewers, and meade fans to meet on a weekly basis with the luxury of having Cork & Fork Wine and Beer store as the venue! The best way to learn is to experience, and with beer, the best way to experience is to taste. Every week we will go through new beers, try different styles, chat about what we like and don't like, and generally talk about beer and beer related products.

A social group for all of us who are proud to be GenX and many of us no onger getting carded. We're going to explore craft brews in the Philadelphia area and make fun of the wine drinkers. Just kidding. Maybe. Open to everyone but focused on the tiny generation born between the years 1965 and 1985. Or if you: remember having to "learn" email, when making a phone call changed to 20 cents, think the 1980 Winter Olympics was the ultimate in sport history, Mike Schmidt, Dr. J, the Muppet Show, pegg …

Introduction: Our founder decided to start this group because she enjoyed wine and want to get to know other people in their 20s & 30s that like wine too. It worked! Since getting started in April 2010, we have attended 250 tastings, wineries, dinners, festivals, happy hours, parties, and almost any other idea, as long as it somehow involves wine, with many more planned! We look for a great mix of men and women in their 20s & 30s - single, married, couples, just friends, it doesn't matter - th …

One of the oldest and largest of the German-American clubs in Philadelphia, the Cannstatter Volksfest-Verein was founded in 1873 for the purpose of celebrating the customs and traditions of their homeland, especially the annual harvest festival held in the town of Bad Cannstatt. In addition, they hoped to use any income from the organization for charitable purposes. In the 125 years since that founding, all of the club's purposes have been impressively maintained. The annual Fest held on Labor …

I love food. Cooking it, eating it, talking about it, reading about it, watching shows about it. But I’ve had trouble finding people around my age in this city who like to make this a part of their daily life AND are looking for friends that are interested in the same. This is a group for those who want to explore all forms of food the DC area has to offer (restaurants, specialty stores, etc.), cook and bake for others, and meet new people in their 20s and early 30s who want to do the same. This group is for people who would rather entertain in their own home than go out to a restaurant for fun. If you don't have the room for entertaining then that's ok but you need to be willing to contribute food and drink on a regular basis when other members hold events in their homes. The idea is for someone to host a get together (dinner party, wine tasting, movie night, barbecue, whatever) and determine a "theme". The host(ess) generally provides the main dish and the others bring theme o …

I live in the East Passyunk area and love the Christopher Columbus dog park, but just about all the people who go are part of a couple. I am looking to start a group for singles & their dogs and have dog park outtings, like dining outside in nice weather, walks in the park, trips to the beach, trips to the Bottle Shop (yep, they allow dogs!!), and letting our dogs run in the park.

Meet other science lovers in your area! Whether it's chemistry, biology, physics, or geology, gather to meet others who like science! Science Cafés are informal discussions on a topic, led by an expert. Be warned however - this isn't your professors boring, powerpoint-driven spiel - it happens at bars, restaurants, or coffee shops, and the dialogue can be very interesting (and informative). A moderator gives everyone a chance to speak, while keeping the discussion lively. Based on the European …
